What This Test Measures

Pituitary hormone stimulating follicle development in women and sperm production in men; elevated in menopause.

Preparation

No fasting required
For cycling women, Day 2–4 is standard for baseline. Draw in the morning when LH peaks. If post-menopausal, timing is less critical.
